Antiaging Product - Is It Just A Big Scam?

Do people really waste their time spending a fortune on antiaging product? What is the attraction of trying to stay looking young when in the end, if you get to see those golden years in life, it will probably have been all for nothing and the aging process wins again.

That’s the negative view on antiaging product. This article is not intended for people with those views so I just wanted to get it out of the way. Now for people with a yearning to keep their youthful looks let’s try an understand what antiaging product is.

Antiaging Product - It’s Basically A Combo Deal!

Well, it’s anything from antiaging creams to regular exercise to good diet to nutrition and yes, even plastic surgery techniques. Maybe it’s a combination of all of the above. But does a magic elixir exist as it did in the hilarious film “Death Becomes Her” where simply by swallowing a potion you will lose your age spots, tighten your buttocks and take 20 years of your appearance.

Fat chance! Maybe I’m being a little too presumptious. Maybe it does exist in a lab somewhere or in a secret stream flowing in South America’s Amazon jungle. Let’s look at the bug bear of all antiaging enthusiasts.

Wrinkles

So what exactly causes wrinkles and why do they appear? Wrinkles are ridges or creases on the surface of the skin caused by aging processes. Generally, wrinkles can also appear from the result of prolonged exposure to water, but in this case we are talking about the appearance of wrinkles from the process of aging or the process of glycation.

Glycation is the result of blood sugars not being properly processed by the body’s natural enzymes. Glycation results in wrinkles on the skin, thinner skin, and other signs normally associated with aging.

The Skin

The skin is an amazing organ. It’s the largest organ on the body and is literally alive. It’s made up of about 70% water, so the effect of blood sugar in the process of glycation becomes a lot more evident.

The skin can be a complex organ an most people will take it for granted. What’s it made of? It consists of three major layers: epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous layers. The epidermis is the outermost layer of the skin and is prone to wrinkles, sunspots, sunburns and other elements of our external world taking their toll.

Nutrition plays a major part in keeping your skin well nourished and looking good but can’t act alone in dismissing wrinkles from your body. Nutrition aids the skin by delivering the proper vitamins and metabolites to the proper areas. When these nutrients are absorbed, they make their way to your skin layer through the bloodstream. A great antiaging product is a well-balanced diet.

Get Educated On Skin Care

Seeking advice from a professional on skin care is a much more sensible move than getting little bits of advice from well meaning friends who may have tried something which seemed to work for them but in reality, could be detrimental to you.

Why? Because people have different skin types and what works for someone else may cause a reaction on your skin; antiaging product is fine; there is a place for it in society but forget the magic elixir for the time being and get guidance from someone with experience in antiaging skin care practices.
