How Living A Healthy Life Can Lead to a Longer Life

In this day and age, taking care of your health should be a top priority. The National Cancer Society estimates that one in three Americans will get cancer before the age of 50. This is an alarmingly high rate of cancer in a society that is supposed to be a first world order.

Living a Healthy Life
Achieving a lifestyle that is healthy is not that hard these days. Moving from conventional foods to organic foods is one step you can take to increase your health. Although the organic products may cost a little more, they are more likely to be picked when ripe, have much lower incidents of antibiotics and steroids, and in general have a much lower toxicity level due to the fact that no man made fertilizers were used on them.

A second easy way to Healthy Living is to cut down on the refined sugars in your food. Start reading food labels on the products you purchase. If there is a single ingredient to cut out of your diet, it would be High Fructose Corn Syrup. By removing this single ingredient and not purchasing products with it in the top three or four on the list of ingredients, you will significantly cut down on the amounts of refined sugars you put into your body.

Healthy Living Tips
There are plenty more Health Tips. Reducing the amount of fat in your diet is one, cutting down on red meat is another. Do you drink enough water? It is suggested that you drink at least an ounce of purified water for every one to two pounds you weigh. for a woman of 128 lb.s, that is at least a half gallon a day. For a many over 200 pounds, we are talking close to a gallon of water every day. The body is over 80% water, don’t you think you should feed it what it needs the most?

Cancer and Other Diseases
Since more and more of us are getting sick, don’t you think it is important to think about Health Related Diseases? I am a 47 year old man, and have recently recovered from Cancer. I also have a liver disease called Hepatitis C. Altering my diet to include more healthy items is not a luxury, but a must. If you choose today to start leading a healthier life, by eating right, exercising regularly and getting enough rest, you can prolong this body and this lifetime. And that is hat it is all about, right? Living a longer, happier life?
