You can not stop brain cells from dying with age but you can make it healthier by exercising your brain and taking part in both mental and social activities. By taking better care of your overall health you will be able prolong or eliminate Alzheimer’s from your life.

Other s steps for Alzheimer’s prevention includes doing everything you can to protect you head from hard hits and jarring your brain. Start by always wearing a helmet when participating in activities such as skateboarding, bicycling and riding a motorcycle. When traveling in a vehicle you need to make sure you buckle up and try to take measures to prevent injuries from accidents and falls in your home. It is suggested that if you smoke cigarettes you should stop and it is always best that you limit your alcohol intake. Seek professional help if you suffer from depression or anxiety.

Try to avoid as much stress as possible and make sure you have time for relaxing and doing the things that you enjoy. The more you exercise and challenge your mind the more you can reduce your risk of getting this disease. Since it is not known exactly what causes Alzheimer’s, then it is impossible to say for sure that it can be completely eliminated for each individual but it can greatly reduce your risks. For your own health and well-being you should learn as much as possible about this disease and what you can do to lower your odds of getting it when you get older.
